About us

We’re Ash & Chris and this is our local small family run business

Established in 2010 by Janette, a seasoned UK driving instructor and a spirited educator, AAA Driving School is the embodiment of her passion for fostering safe driving habits. In an attempt to fill a significant instructional gap in the Lockyer Valley, Australia, Janette pioneered the school, seamlessly transferring her love for driving education to this new landscape.

In 2016, Ash and Chris took the helm, driven by the same passion that initially ignited AAA’s journey. They were moved by their firsthand encounters with the impacts of unsafe driving on the community and recognised a persisting need for quality driving education. Consequently, they committed to advancing Janette’s legacy, their mission underscored by their determination to improve community safety.

Traffic guidelines
Traffic Guidelines in Queensland encompass a wide range of rules and regulations established by the Department of Transport and Main Roads. These guidelines are designed to ensure the safety and efficiency of all road users across the state. They cover aspects like speed limits, road signs, rights-of-way, merging and turning rules, parking restrictions, and specific regulations for different types of vehicles, among other things. Adherence to these guidelines is crucial for maintaining order and safety on Queensland's roads.
Instructor training
The Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport - Car Driving Instruction) is a specialised qualification in Queensland for those wishing to become professional driving instructors. This certification equips individuals with the knowledge, skills, and legislative understanding necessary to deliver high-quality, comprehensive driving instruction, promoting safety and competency on the roads.
Queensland Driving license
The Queensland Driving License, issued by the Department of Transport and Main Roads, authorises individuals to operate motor vehicles on public roads in Queensland. Categories include learner licenses, P1, P2, and open licenses for cars, motorcycles, trucks, and buses, each with distinct qualifications and restrictions, ensuring drivers meet the required standards for their vehicle type.
Vehicle Insurance
In Queensland, there are various types of car insurance to consider for vehicle owners. These include Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Insurance, which is mandatory and covers personal injuries caused to others in an accident. There's also Third Party Property Damage, which covers damage to other people's property and legal costs. Third Party Fire and Theft adds coverage for your car if it's stolen or damaged by fire. Comprehensive Car Insurance provides the broadest protection, covering accidental damage, theft, fire, and liability for damage to other people's property. Each type offers varying levels of coverage to suit different needs and budgets.
